Engine Vibration from cold
I've got a 2007 325i M Sport 3.0 Automatic and it's under warranty until January.
The problem is that when starting from cold in the morning, I notice a vibration from the engine, especially when reversing out of my driveway where the car lurches slightly. And then when I'm on the road for the first few minutes I can feel a wobble from the engine as I'm driving along. Also, when putting the car in or out of Drive, Neutral, Park etc the gearbox can sometimes shudder quite hard. Finally, I've occasionally noticed that when parking the car and I put the handbrake on, I hear a loud banging noise. The handbrake still engages and holds the car, but it's a bit weird! Before I go to the dealer with this I wondered if anybody had any thoughts? I could be worrying about nothing, but the vibration in (what I assume is) the gearbox is definitely worrying and if there's an issue I want it sorted before the car goes out of warranty! Cheers, Phil |
