Thumbs up SECRETS Behind The HPF 1000 RWHP Daily Driven BMW RACE ENGINES - VIDEO

Featured on E90POST HOMEPAGE.

For the past two years, we've kept our HPF Turbo M3 Stage 2.5, 3 and 4 engine builds somewhat under wraps. When we get to the N54 motors we will most likely be using some of the same technologies as shown in these videos.

I decided to present a series of videos that will walk an average car enthusiast through many of the steps we take to build these engines. I believe there is enough information in these videos to reach people at all levels of experience.

All videos are in high definition. To watch in high definition, click on the title at the top and in the new window click 720p in the lower right and the 4 arrows to make it full screen.

Thanks for posting these Chris, I am almost done watching them, they're extremely interesting! I wonder how much the process would differ with the N54 and its aluminium block. I am also curious to know whether some of the critiques that were made on the S54 factory assembly process (not mounting the "fake" head before honing the block) could be carried on to the N54...

Also... does the S54 come with the small oil 'squirters' you're installing before putting in the crank or is that an addition you're making?

Thanks!

-Walter

Seems like standard engine building to me.
Sure you can get some idiot to skip steps and take short cuts, but every proper build goes like this. Where are the secrets?

I know some shops dont use a tq plate on the block when they are working on the walls, so that might be one secret. Is there anything else that I missed?
Different bearings....standard
Measuring Clearances.....standard
Torquing things in specific order and incriments.....standard.
I was actually excited to see if they are infact doing something different.

Great videos..................BAD BAD MUSIC WTF! That music with two of the whitest guys I have ever seen in video 1 just doesn't belong together LOL. Need some alternative Rock.

Revised. Videos 2-4 have good music...why the F the video editor would choose that crap fro video 1??? I kept muting it when the crap would come on.....what are we in the ghetto here? HPF customers profile are ghetto? I don't think so.
