Cold Start Misfire, After Warm up (190) Car Runs Perfect.
Anyone else have this problem with the newest software update? When the vehicle oil temp is cold 120-160 the car will stumble and acts like a misfire, when the car is warm it runs perfect. This is based off of oil temp. This car loves the dealer

O2 sensor heater is bad. 4 wire oxygen sensors have two wires to heat the sensor because they only give accurate readings when heated up. The two wires giving the readings are fine so once the car is hot it runs fine. The heating coils are not serviceable on there own so you have to replace the 02 sensor. I had the same issue and replacing the sensors fixed it. Good luck.

Sounds like injectors are shot. There was an issue where the injectors would 'bleed' fuel throughout the night or when parked for a longer period of time. When you start, the excess fuel would cause misfires. Warm starts never had bleed so no issues.
I believe there was a bulletin out on this somewhere on this forum. Needs to go in to dealer. |

Just had new injectors put in. So we will see. I had the bleeding problem on cold starts before. I also just had the plugs changed, car ran perfect tell about 100 miles ago. The o2 sensor idea is interesting, we will see though. I still have around 1000 miles left on warranty, so i will let them check out rather then dig into it. Once the warranty is done... let the fun begin!

This sounds like a sensor problem. Same thing happens when you dont plug in your TMAP sensor or the charge air pipe. Could be worth noting to the dealer. Sensors aren't that expensive for them to replace and they dont have to go hacking up the car to find an issue. If I am completely wrong, then I am sorry, but it might just be worth a shot.

They are pulling the motor apart and cleaning the intake ports, putting it back together and seeing if that solves the issue. No CEL is showing up.
Thanks, Michael |

Holy crap, you've had the worst luck. I talked to a guy today who has an 07 and has had NO issues! At 45k miles still on the orig HPFP, believe that??? I'm somewhere in the middle between you guys...
Good luck, hope this works for you! And 1000 miles till procede or new JB...it will be fun, for sure. |

For me it was the fuel pump? They replaced all injectors and plugs and it still misfired so replaced the pump and new software and it's fixed... for now.

After they cleaned the valves with no adaption reset the car was perfectly smooth, they reset the car anyways per the service request. The car has never ran as smooth as it does now. I have had the following done. New Wastegates New Turbochargers New Injectors New Fuel Pump Swapped Exhaust Systems Cleaned the intake manifold to check for leaks checked all the vac lines and pinched one at a time to make sure they have no leaks checked the fuel grade compression and leak down test everything worked for a few hundred miles, but in the end cleaning the valves seems to have worked the best. I wonder if an oil catch can and a regular diet of Seafoam (or meth) will help keep those valves cleaner longer. Not that you'd run meth on a stock car but it does have some cleaning properties.
