I didn't like the look of the wheel studs as they were becoming quite weathered so I bought some aluminum racing lugs. Wanted the Project Kics lugs but they were 220 bucks and that was an insane price. Just cleans up the hub area a bit better.
The first pic is from the front wheel, small spacer so you see more of the stud. The second is the rear and I have a 15mm spacer so the stud is more hidden. Last edited by forza1976; 04-11-2011 at 06:44 PM.. |

$220 for lugs? Holy shit. And I thought paying $200 for a CF roof spoiler was a lot.
They look good and I know there's a purpose for them but damn on the price.

He doesn't understand why you would want to make your car heavier for the sake of convenience, and spend money while at it. :P

well considering i dropped about 8 pounds per corner with the wheels and non-rfts, the few extra ounces for the lugs and studs are gravy for me

I like 'em! Tell me, is there any other advantage to studs/lugs than making wheel changing a bit easier? Always wondered if there was more to them than that...

you know I looked at them, even the project kics lugs but they weren't quite what I liked. Just wanted black lugs and to cover up the steel (weathered) studs. As the dude above aptly noted, that may have been a bit too JDM

Not only quicker but a lot less effort. I hated aligning the wheel flange to the hub and holding it there while you try to start the lug. PITA!
