SSTT + High temp = No Fun

Well the weather has been warm around 90-100's lately. I decided to garage my DD and use the BMW. In the middle of the drive at work I get this engine malfunction power reduced message from the nav. I could still drive it but it was so laggy. get off at work at midnight, started the car and the message is not there anymore and i was like wtf!

Drove this again the next day and same thing happened. I decided to take of the SSTT and drove the car for the next 2 days and there was no warning at all! I decided to drive the car without the SSTT now. I'll miss it!

Do you have a bt cable to scan for codes and check what it could be? Could be nothing to do with the SSTT and it was random that you didnt throw the code without it.

Sorry no cable. It might be the SSTT temperature sensor feature.

I haven't gotten a half engine light, but running my JB+ in hot weather with the A/C on full blast in traffic usually leads to a loping idle and pretty nasty heat soak.

I don't drive my car balls to the wall once it hits triple digits though. Is this happening under normal daily driving or spirited driving?
