Q for AWD ballers running high HP

Have you ever broke any of your AWD drivetrain components running high HP?

There was a thread on the numerous half-shafts broken on the 335i HP addicts's whips. Is it permissible to say that another advantage to AWD is that it can handle the higher HP better?

1st of all there are WAY more 335i than xi , let alone the modified ones to even compare the difference if any.
even within 335iso far only few cases have been reported out of thousands and thousands (well, at least to e90post).
even the car has been pushed to the limit, half-shaft may / may not be a problem.
so while i understand your claim completely i don't think you will hear the result you want other than "mine works fine"

Solution: do not dragrace if you love your car. Launching puts too much stress on the car.

I can tell you I know a 335xi FBO + meth 6MT and he went through three differentials. Then again, he really goes hard on his car

So if the weak link in the 335i is the half-shaft, and with the xi it's the differential? Does anyone know of anything else breaking?
