Insurance differences?

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone was able to put in perspective the differences between an e92 335 and a 328. Just roughly... im set on the 335, but if its anything like my STI vs say...an impreza kind of wanted a heads up. Thanks!

It depends way too much on your individual credit score/credit cards/credit history/age/sex/accident history. Nothing any of us can tell you would be of any use in your circumstances. Example - insurance for my 2001 Jeep Wrangler is only $200 less than a brand new 2011 Z4. Go figure.

Your best bet is to:

1) Make a dummy email account

2) Go to the insurance websites and enter your information for the cars you want - be truthful about everything (they will find out), and only lie about your email address (since it'll get flooded with offers for a few weeks after you ask for the quotes)

335 vs 328 is going to be roughly a 20% increase

The difference is not much. I remember when i was buying my 335i, i also looked into the difference (was under 50 dollars i believe...dont remember the exact amount).

Dont quote me on this..but my uncle who worked in insurance explained to me how the 3 series falls more into the luxury category as opposed to a nissan 350z which falls into the "sports car" category. Also bmw's are cheaper insurance wise compared to the 350z because of their safety ratings.

Either way...as others have said, it depends on the individual.

Go for the 335i!
