What infromation "can" disclose to your dealers S.A.?

Hey Guys, I was wondering, many of us have some type or level of modifications done to our cars. For those times you needed to go the dealer and had some type of work done (warranty covered or maintenance work), have you disclosed any or none of modification to the service agent? Do you think they care or not care about any or some of modification performed?

Its not your service advisor you need to worry about. Its your bmw tech. Establish a good relationship with your service advisor so he can send you to the same tech every time so you dont get some asshole that will void your warranty. Generally you wont have any problems as long as you dont throw any codes. I was looking at your list of mods. It doesnt look like you have a whole lot to worry about.

Actual you would want to worry about both.

Coming from 4 years exerpience in dealerships.... the Tech can say something about the mods, and the service advisor could careless.

In the same instance, the service advisor could mention about the mods and deny warranty claims just as fast.

ITs best to bring your car back to stock to avoid any problems...

Getting to know a tech and or service advisor can go a long way, and a bottle of wine or "football" tickets can go a long way too.

Its not what you know but who you know sometimes...

Both have the ability to help or make your life misery, focus on the service advisor, he has a little more push. At the end of the day I always recommend taking mods off to anyone else.

No matter how much he loves you, he's not going to risk his job for you if a BMWNA rep comes calling.

Be safe, use a condom and don't share anything of your mods with them.....
