I've had this once or twice when I first got the car. It was caused by the brake pedal not able to be depressed enough to trigger the switch allowing the car to start. Dealer replaced a valve (can't remember what the valve was called).

The fact that the car would not start was disconcerting at first but less so when you realise that pressing harder on the pedal effectively provides a cure. In my case anyway

I doubt it, as placing it in the ignition charges it.

I've got the hard brake pedal thing too

Sometimes only a light press on the brake and it doesn't start.

I've had this a on a few occasions, especially when the car's been static for a few days.
Keep your finger on the button, press a little harder on the brake pedal and it should burst into life.
I don't think this is an issue of particular concern.
