+1 I'm 6'3" ~240 and my dad is 5'7" ~170 and he definitely still scares the shit out of me.. LOL. He taught me everything I know (at least anything that has been worth remembering). Pic of me and my dad for scale.. LOL. |

I'm not physically scared but it's weird, if I'm taking a nap at their place my mom can be talking and I won't wake up, but if my dad says my name I wake up as if a horn blared next to my ear, it's the weirdest thing. No matter how big or old I am his voice will wake me up everytime.

I miss my Dad something awful. We used to talk every week about cars, or the Red Sox, or whatever. He saw pics of the Z4, but never got to drive it. He would have loved it. Of all the people I have met in my life, none have had the integrity and general good will towards others that my Dad always exhibited. He was, quite simply, without faults. If I am half the man he was, I've done ok.

I bitched moaned whined complained AND cried with all the stuff my dad made me do. But now I can paint my own house, fix my own sinks, panel my own closets, change my own oil/plugs/brakes and still be charitable to my neighbor. Oh, and follow the rule of law.
Thanks, DAD!!! |

My dad's awesome. It's funny, as a kid I was closer to my mom. The older I get the closer I get to my dad.
My dad always busted his ass to provide for us. Working 90+ hour weeks at times to put food on the table, clothe us, roof over us, and send my mom and I on vacation. My dad rarely is sick, but the few times I've seen him sick running 101 fever, full blown flu and still working 8-10hours everyday. Probably why I don't take days off unless I have something going on. There's nothing I can do to ever pay him back for all he's done. |

bitches all kidding aside my Dad is a great guy as well. We've grown apart slightly after my mom passed(long story) but I still know if I ever truely needed him he would be over in a heart beat.
