LSDs - in petrols but not diesels...

Noticed a lot of 335i owners opt for an LSD in their cars but I don't think I've ever seen a 335d owner do the same.

Is there a reason for this?

Am I being incredibly retarded again?

Is a LSD an option at all? I thought you couldn't get one, except in an M3. I don't remember seeing it on the option list of my car.

Sorry - I meant an aftermarket option. Usually fitted by Birds (the dealer not the flying things or women) it would seem.

335d = pipe and slippers drive = no need for LSD

335i = hoontastic powerslides off roundabouts = need for LSD

Takes a bit of getting used to IMHO. Must admit to spinning a few times with an LSD.

I'm getting one fitted (yes, by Birds) because I'm fed up with wheelspin/flashing light/loss of traction on our bumpy streets. And, trust me, I drive very sensibly; but sometimes you need a surge of power in the cut and thrust of city driving. As to why diesel 335 owners wouldn't equally need one, I have no idea. Surely they have the same issues?

Never fancied Birds working on your inner parts 335 (fnurr fnurr)?

Mike.
