Maximum boost with BMW Performance Power Kit - a bit of a surprise ?

Since installing the Rixter vent gauge I have tried to get a maximum boost reading and today I have managed to get a rather high 11psi (gauge was calibrated). Some people said that the stock 8.8psi is increased by about 1psi, but 11psi is kind of cool. The 297whp I got on the dyno can be fully explained with this kind of boost.

I'm curious if someone measured more than 8.8psi on a completely stock car ? I am at 100-150m above sea level.

I have! I saw around ~10 psi on my stock 335i.

Of course I was at 5200 Feet elevation

You may see boost spikes during gear shifts, so its depends on what the conditions where when you "recorded" this.

That is correct. I have my tune set at max PSI of 17 with 93 octane and meth. If I run through one gear with no DTC intervention then I see a peak recall of 16.9-17.1 PSI on Rick's boost gauge. If I slip the wheels to get DTC intervention, and/or shift gears, I will see spikes up to about 1 PSI higher. The engine actually does not see that spike, but gets recorded as a spike in the manifold pressure, and reflected on the electronic gauge peak recall.

Hs it been hot lately in your neck of the woods?
I'm curious if the car is running higher boost to compensate for the heat.
Or, I believe that the others are correct with the boost spiking between gear shifts.

Probably a spike, the temperature was in fact quite low at 8-10 degrees Celsius.
