Bad News, Good news, No news, and WTF!
I sent my payment for my new 328 on the 7th, and thought I had sent it the fastest way possible. I called on the 12th to find out that it had been sent in the most secure way, but that it was also the slowest. Side note, I am stationed in Italy and had to mail it international. So, the postal clerk that day tells me that I shouldn't worry about it until it has been gone for 3 weeks. Not good. My loan pre-approval will expire the 26th and then I have to re-apply. The good news of the day is that my car is built and sitting in Wurzburg, Germany going through dealer prep so that I can go get her(Hopefully Soon). Also, the first clerk was wrong about the time frame. The check is for sure in Germany, just not at the dealer. Hence the no news. Where the he%% is my freakin car loan? So, I might have to re-apply for the loan and wait to get my car. Sorry, had to do something besides throw the keyboard through the monitor.

Who mails things anymore?? This transaction could not have been done electronically? Being that your in italy you probably purchased through Pentagon..I wonder why they didn't take care of everything like they did for me. Congrats on the new whip though!

That whole process has me confused, but Wurzburg, is literally right down the road from me and half the paperwork down on my car was from Wurzburg, the rest in Schweinfurt... even has Wurzburg plates on it at the moment.
What was the purpose of the check then, down payment?

I'm confused also...because with Pentagon.. It's 2grand down to process your order. All they need is your bank approval letter and they do the rest and if you didnt get loan for full amount as I did you just have to write a check to Natex to Amsto for the reminder and give it to your agent or swipe your card.

The full loan, and pay down amount.
All of the order stuff was done a long time ago. The car was a factory build, and has been delivered for me to pick it up. The checks were my loan check, and a pay down cashiers check. I have to pay for the car, so they can take care of the VAT paperwork on that end. I also need to pay so I can get my plane tickets and go get it. I purchased through BAVARIANMOTORCARS.de. Same program, but I like the people better.

Should Have Her Soon
So I go to the bank today and cancel both the original loan and cashiers check. Of course this means applying for the loan again, not a problem as after the enter key was pushed it was approved with the original APR. Since this time I have the VIN, I was able to electronically remit the payment for the car. All in all, it cost me $14 at the post office and 2 weeks worth of torment. Result, happy ending. Go to get her now on Nov 3rd. I'll take some shots as we drive through Germany, The Alps/Austria, and even Italy and post them when I get back.
