BMW paperweight

So my car was hit in a hit and run today (likely by a drunk driver) and after cleaning up the shattered headlight I realized that the lens covering the Xenon headlight is quite a great paperweight!!!! Maybe not, just really pissed off about this and that my car looks like crap and I have to drive it for another week or so, not to mention that I have to pay a lot of money for it to be fixed. I'm just pissed that I woke up to a cop at my door saying that my car was hit, pretty crappy way to start the day! That is twice my car has had something happen in the last year.. ARGGGGG

It sucks, need new bumper, headlight, and they need to fix the front quarter panel. Only $3,000 and 25 hours worth of labor.

The person had some good aim and only hit my car, not the car 6 inches in front of me. At least someone saw the car and the cop who came has seen that car around and knows where it usually is. If they dont' admit it the cop said they will screw with him and tow his car and keep it a couple days and make him pay that at least. Or maybe take a sludge hammer to thier car???

I really feel for you - this absolutely sucks.

I was the victim of hit and attempted run as well with my previous ride (Audi A4). Fortunately there were witnesses and the person was caught and convicted of a hit and run - also this meant that I didn't pay anything and insurance covered all of it.

I hope your perp is ID'd and you won't be out of pocket on this.

Yeah they saw the car, it was a white van with a red stripe. So maybe they will be able to do something. I would love to it since I have a high deductible. Now it looks rediculous that I cleaned up all the glass.

Thanks for the support, I hope this person has party plates on their car and has their licence taken away. I guess they backed into my car from a driveway, but they must have been going kinda fast to do that much damage.

Opt for the SLEDGE HAMMER!!! But instead of smashing their car...smash their driving foot instead! Luckily for me my father is a collision expert with at a BMW Dealer so when crap like this happens he hooks it up for me and I pay very little. BMWs are MAD $$$$$$ to get fixed!
