so i wont to know is it bad to manualy fold the mirror ? Fold my driver side mirror with my hand?

it doesnt feel like im fighting the motor it folds fairly nice but does anyone know is it bad for the motor ?

It shouldn't be. Just use the motor, it's not going to break. And if it does, then fold it manually.

You're not going to hurt anything either way.

The mirrors are meant to be folded in my hand without any damage. Could you imagine if they weren't? If anybody ever hit one, it would just automatically break.

Yes, if your window adjustment nob is on the left it will enable it. If its on the right it disables the tilt. Its for parallel parking.

Has anyone had experience with the power mirrors failing?
I used mine everyday for about 3 weeks until i decided to stop cause i was afraid it would fail in the long run.
They just don't seem solid enough to last a decade without failing

Is it definitely true that folding them manually will not harm the mirror or motor??

Is this in the manual somewhere or is this just theoretical??

Stop worrying about them and use them.

Everything breaks someday. You might as well use them until they do. There's people that actually know how to fix broken things too.

If you are concerned about a car failing if you use it then park it and take a but. Are you actually serious? Any component has potential to fail but if you felt it made sense to use them everyday for 3 weeks then why does it not make sense to continue?

I was folding the mirrors simply because i could and it became a habbit. I park my car inside my garage where it can't get hit, so i might as well not fold them.

Anyways, thanks for sharing your experiences with failed power mirrors.
