Going to Vancouver: Could use some ATM and food info please

I'm taking off tomorrow and was wondering what type of ATM's you guys have there? I dont' have any CA cash with me, so I was hoping to use an ATM at the airport.

Also, food suggestions? I like the fusion, but I'm up for anything good.
Thanks.

ATM uses Interact. But if you want to withdraw money from using a credit card that would work as well

For food, you can refer to this thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...vancouver+food

My BofA shows Interlink, Plus and Star. Any of those seem familiar?

Thanks for the food link.

You can use your US debit card on 99% of the ATM machines up here. I've used my debit card in the states without any issues. If your debit card for some strange reason doesn't work, you can always use your credit card like mentioned above.

I would recommend Yaletown for some good food/bar/lounges choices plus it's very easy to get to, hop on the train from the airport and get off at the Yaletown stop which is like a 10(?) minute train ride.

Yaletown was very cool last time I was there a few years ago.
Maybe I'll take the train there and a cab to the hotel?
Can I buy tokens/credits with a credit card? Any ideal if the cabs take credit cards?

Thanks for the feedback guys.

What hotel are you staying at?

You can use credit card/debit card at skytrain stations. I would just have cash in case your cc or debit doesn't work.

Yes, most cabs take credit cards. Just ask the cabby before hand.

+1 to Scotia Bank/BoA recommendation.

Check out Yelp for decent food options near the hotel.

Thanks for the bank info.
Any decent food for lunch around the convention center? Went to a pub today and they couldn't get the food out after an hour.

Pan Pacific has a good buffet on the weekend, not sure what it serves during the week. If you walk south to Alberni, between Thurlow and Burrard, there are lots of good restaurant. On the map it looks like you can get good coffee from Caffe Artigiano at Thurlow and Pender, and there's a crepe place next to it.
