jb+ question

Is the jb+ the simplest way to pick up 40- 50 HP? It seems to be easy to install and more importantly easy to remove when the hpfp goes and you have to visit the dealer. Will it truly not show any codes if kept to middle default setting?

It is the simplest & easiest, but don't expect more than +20-30 HP at anything but the max (code causing) level.

IMO if you are capable of restraint, and keeping it at <40%, you are keeping boost close to max stock levels for high altitude. For a couple hundred $ it provides similar pop as the BMW Perf tune, albeit without the cooling. Even at mid-level you are risking codes. ISTA is watching you.

If you are interested in more power then invest in a tune that will protect your engine.

The JB+ is the simplest and easiest to install tune for sure. At 50% there should be no codes. Most people find the sweet code free spot to be 75% but it varies from car to car.
