Question Any Atlantic Blue Owners Out There??

I've seen maybe 5 cars in Houston with this color, but there's a chance all 5 times was the same person...

Here's a pic of mine from Houston Coffee and Cars with a quick story.

There is a 328i sport e92 in my town in that color. Haven't seen too many of them.

Actually, there was another with a modded 335i coupe in the Atlantic blue color, don't recall the name though.

Interesting thing though, Need for Speed Shift on the iphone has the E92 M3 (I think it's the final car you unlock), and one of the color choices is shown in the screenshot below, now I know the E92 M3 doesn't come in atlantic blue in real life, but it looks awfully similar, I'm not sure what M-color this is...

Hey now, I am a 2 post wonder now!

There isn't many of this color around, you see it less for sure since it is not available for the sedan, and other than the E92 and E93, the only other model that this color is offered on is the 6 series, so it's pretty rare to see.

I really like it though, I was choosing between Atlantic blue and Alpine White to match my school colors when i started shopping, and was smitten as soon as I saw the ABM in person, it was settled pretty quickly

Here's another pic.

Bumping this!

Since this post, I've gotten new wheels, tires, spacers, front aero lip, bms pbx, and... that's it.

Seriously, ANY other Atlantic Blue owners?! It's so hard to mod these cars cosmetically!

Hey OP.... I saw a E92 328i in the same color about a month or two ago around the Sugar Land area on Highway 6... wasn't you, was it? If so, I thought your car looked girly based on the color... no offense lol.

I saw one in Wilmington North carolina when I was there for a 6 month assignment. The owner was one of the executives at our office there.

But yea it's pretty rare, I think that's the one I've ever seen in that color.

It was only like a bit more than 2 years ago, and I remember I was still driving the 100k+ mile E46.

I don't think it was me! The only time I go to HW6 is when I'm visiting a grave, but it's up off 290, not 59.

And yeah, it's fairly feminine but I love it.

I really love this color, especially in convertible.

It reminds me of California Azzuro, a Ferrari color.

Hey atlantic blue owners!!

Bought my '08 E93 Atlantic Blue in Houston. I previously owned a Z4, burgundy color, shows dust/dirt easily. It was destroyed in an accident so I bought the Atlantic Blue because it stays clean looking longer thus less wash/wax.
Also there are a zillion silver BMWs out there so I wanted a rarer color. Atlantic Blue is only an '08 &'09 color and available for the 3,5, and 6 series cars.
I live in New Braunfels, TX, between Austin and San Antonio. In the eight years I have owned it, I have only seen two like mine. Color looks best in bright sun to pop the metallics.
Enjoy and stay safe,
Mikey
