it just depends on the time of day/night. when there is higher use (during business hours) it's lower but in the middle of the night (for example; 2AM) it's at what you pay for or possibly better.

My point was the speed is measured in MegaBits not MegaBytes, but I agree you will likely get better performance when there is less usage on the local node, etc.

"b" indicates bits
A normal download indicator will tell you how fast you're downloading in terms of bytes ("B"). There are eight bits in a Byte. Also, you have to account for headers and other nice shit taking up some bits and Bytes, along with any other traffic you'd be having to share the line with. |
