Jobs suggestions?...
Ok...let's say hypothetically you are a 17 year old teenage boy in need of a job. Your resume looks like this; 3 months experience interning at a racing team, 1.5 years experience managing a small business. Possess word/PowerPoint/ some excel experience and (being a teen) can pretty much learn anything on a computer. Top 10% testing scores in your class, taking 6 academic classes (mon-fri, 8-3), a couple of achievement awards, and head of a 100 member youth car club. You possess a huge knowledge and passion for cars, and know that's your path in life (product planning/engineering).
You don't wanna apply at a grocery store/fast food/ department store because you'll hate it, it's boring, and you've spent enough time working at said small business. Where do you find a job that's fun and has those hours? PS-you live in OC. |

My favorite job at that age was Circuit City, absolutely loved working there, you have to be able to sell some but its fun working with electronics etc...guy sounds similar to me so Best Buy might be a great job, good time to apply too

Are you this "hypothetical 17 year old boy"?
It's a good resume for a 17 year old, but the only real-world experiences I'd take into consideration are the 3 months internship with a racing team and the 1.5 years managing a small business (could you expand on this one? What was it about?). Other than that, almost everyone SHOULD know how to use Word/PPT/Excel nowadays so that doesn't really seperate you from the herd. Also, the 6 academic classes from 8-3 would only impress me if they were college/university courses, because I'm getting the impression that you're still in highschool -- and highschool isn't difficult, 6 courses or no 6 courses.
