smoked tail lights

does anyone know if they are legal in melbourne?

and is there anywhere you can get them paited professionally like this

It's hard to tell in that pic what part has been smoked, I think it's all the red?
I don't think it is legal as it reduces 'visibility' of your taillights, depends how dark you want to go.

I personally want to smoke my taillights but am having trouble finding film at a reasonable price to cover the lights so might have a go at a DIY soon with some spray paint.
I'm planning on leaving the 'white area' white.

i dont really like the spray or film options, they come out looking a bit tacky imo, those ones have been painted somehow and look that much better imo.

im fairly sure they arnt legal because they are not stock, however i doubt many police will be aware of what stock e92 lights look like tbh

Those look pretty good. If you tint or spray it well, you can't tell the difference and you've saved yourself lots of dollars.
