GIAC stages compared to Proceed and JB Maps.
Trying to get a better understanding of GIAC stages compared to Proceed and JB Maps on 91 octane.
Any insight to the newer JB4 or V5 would be cool since that’s where we will be in the very near future. GIAC stage 1 = basically stock maybe DCI, 91 octane compared to Proceed and JB maps 3, 4,5 etc… is JB map 5/ PRCD equivalent ok for daily driving on 91oct or pushing it. GIAC stage 2 = DP, FMIC, intake, 91 octane compared to Proceed and JB maps 6, 7, 8, 9 ect... Does GIAC S2 on 91 pump put out equal power compared to the Proceed and JB’s higher maps, which seem to be used for racing applications on higher octane only, are these boost levels to high for everyday use vs. GIAC on 91 octane . Found some good info and a nice comparison chart but it does not include the GIAC S2. To bad I’ll probably have to ask this question again once the V5 and JB4 are released because it sounds like they both have the N54 figured out. Bottom line, how do the GIAC S1 or GIAC S2 on 91oct power levels and driving experience compare to the Proceed and JB Maps.

GIAC Stage 2 is equivalent to JB3 map 7, and maybe a bit more aggressive on top. At the track, I was neck and neck and even very slowly passed sometimes a car having a JB3 on map 7, and also on map 10 with methanol (in fact it was ethanol). But he had a passenger. When I had a passenger and he didn't, he passed me on map 10 with no methanol (it was really cold outside like -4 degrees Celsius).
Stage 2 Race is a different story...didn't try it because I don' have meth but I read that it runs the same boost as stage 2 with more aggressive timing. |
