Slap the sucker on, turn it all the way up to 100% with the bypass, and enjoy the extra ponies!

I recommend you run at default 50% with no bypass at first. If you run into first time issues, then you will have less troubleshooting variables to consider. Also run the highest octane available in your area 93+.

You will most likely break the clip if you're impatient, or end up with intact clip but sore fingers and scratched arm. Enjoy.

Another tip: Don't read the thread above yours with a title like *COBB* or similar

Well knowing that my JB+ is coming tomorrow, I decided to get a jump start and practice disconnecting the TMAP. So i located the TMAP and got my USB cable out, But for the life of me i could not find the tab that the USB cable slides under. So after about 20 min of going nuts, I tugged down on the wire and out came the connector.... So either the previous owner had a similar tune and broke the tab off, or by some chance it broke off on its own??? The previous owner only put 19K and nothing else seems to be tampered with.

If it goes in and out with no tab, the previous owner broke it. Dont ask me how I know this.

Another likely possibility is that the car had HPFP replacement(s) or other issues.

I've heard people complaining that their tab was broken after having their pump replaced by the dealer. Techs are impatient too. This would jive with the buyback.

Yeah they gave me the whole report that BMW did on it, and it was for the HPFP.

Well we got some snow last night so i was only able to go out on the main roads today for a little, and i haven't noticed to much of a difference yet but from what i hear it takes a little bit for the car to adapt to the tune? I have it set at 50% right now.

Well, let me say this: Wouldn't you feel an extra 40-50whp? I was running the jb+ for over a year and a half now and the diference in power and torque from stock is significant. You can definately feel the difference in power at higher settings 75% and up. I had mine at 100% since day one with the bypass and the car felt great, way better than stock. I'm curently back to stock, removed all of mine performance mods and I can definately feel the power difference, the stock is simply slow now. Also give it few good WOT runs, and about 2-3 days of driving to fully adapt. For the price the JB+ is a great product no doubt, but I'm going for the COBB AP once the winter is over.

Been driving the car now for about four days now at 50%, and thinking about turning it up to 75% maybe even 100%. Do I I need the do the solenoid bypass? Or can I wait.

Well I've been running at 50% for about 5 days now and definitely have had a bunch of WOT run, and after about two days I could tell a difference. But now im itching to turn it up and from what I've been reading people have been running at 100% with now proplems? So I was just wondering if I need to do the bypass?
