******** BOV does not release all the air. "HELP"

Hey guys,
I got my HPFP replaced to day. After the update of the software was done the dealer tech told my service guy that my ******** BOV does not release all the air out after you release the gas pedal. He said he did a pressure check and some air still stays in the turbos. He also said that’s not a good thing it will wear out the turbos faster. How do I check the pressure and how do I get the BOV to release all the air out. Any ideas or suggestions please let me know.
Thanks

i had a similar problem. My suggestion would be to get rid of the BOV and get a better one. For now just loosen the screw in the top with an allen key until you get it to the point where it will hold boost and also let all boost out.

Or just revert back to stock dv's.

I bought the ******** kit, then bought the greddy adapter and synapse BOV and it totaled out at 325, much cheaper than any kit and it works just as good. I had the ******** one on for 2 days and my synapse is noticeably better. Get rid of that crap and you will be good to go.

+1 if you want a BOV then do it properly and get a synapse or HKS... You get what you pay for.

Something like this.

So if anything you can get the charge pipe off the RD kit for cheap, then replace the bov with a brand name one like HKS.

I had same problem with ********. There's easy solution for that.
Step 1: Throw the ******** to garbage. Step 2: Buy Synapse BOV www.synapseengineering.com/

Z shift pipe looks exactly like the AA pipe. Bov might be a bit better on the AA kit. If you get the kit, don't adjust it just leave it. It will work fine. Then buy a good BOV and mount it on that pipe.

I would Check out Evolution Raceworks for a good product for a little money. I started with z shift, then switched to ER and diverter valves. I like the idea of air keeping the turbos spooling during shifts.

If you plan to race your car... stay away from the Z shift... if your daily driver is suped up.. z shift is perfect to start for the money. then when you get 2-300 bucks more put a synapse bov on there. You'll do just fine!

BTW I have ER charge pipe and Hyperboost Diverter Valves.... an awesome alternative to Forge with the right set of springs so you don't have to guess. I have been running 14-19 psi through them and they sound like a BOV! Dare to be different!

+1. I have the RSD Polished Charge Pipe with an HKS SSQV BOV and it's fantastic! Works great and sounds great. Purchased the set from Bavarian for around $500 and well worth it man. Give Brad a call at Bavarian. Smash that Z-Shit BOV into pieces!

Wow thanks guys. I might get a different bov and keep the pipe. Or just go back to the stock setup. Thanks for good info.
