Is This A Good Deal On A Used iPhone 4?
mint condition iphone 4 16gb w/ only charger and cable $300 (a kid at school is selling it).
i got the imei and serial number and when i looked it up on apple's warranty, it does pull up so it is a legit phone, but here is the problem... Version: 4.2.1(8c148) Modem Firmware: 03.10.01 i can unlock at 4.2.1 if i upgrade to the ipad 6.15 baseband which is not reversable and i do not want to do that and the dev team stated no more unlock until 4.2.5 or 4.3 is out (http://news.softpedia.com/news/Dev-T...t-178501.shtml). with that being said, should i spend $300 on a mint condition iphone 4 with just charger and usb or do you guys think by the time 4.2.5 or 4.3 is out along with an unlock, used iphone 4 prices will be in the $300s anyway?

iphone unlock for 4.2.1 is ONLY for iphone 3G/3GS. there is no unlock out for iphone 4 running 4.2.1 baseband 4.1 and higher. 300 for iphone 4 is a good deal, but if u want to unlock it then you're out of luck for a few more months until apple releases more updated firmwares
edit: oops just read the baseband, i believe theres a way to do it for your baseband. perhaps u are right |

A new iphone 4 16GB is $650 without a contract. That is a VERY good deal.

you do not need iPad baseband to unlock iPhone 4. iPad baseband will only work on 3G/3GS

$300 is a very good deal, and to the skeptics, I bought a 16GB 4 for $350 in NOVEMBER. I do buy and sell these all the time though, that was one of my best pickups. Good luck |
