a lot of forums have java (or other) bases chat boxes, shouldnt be to hard to put it

somewhere up at the top or bottom of the main browse page to limit bandwith

Are you taling about flashchat? Like having a chatroom in the forums. It is extremely easy to do and I have my own forum with flashchat and can simply send you the flashchat files if you need it. Just upload it and your done. lol

not sure, its just a box at the top of the page you can tpye and chat in

allthough with a forum this size it would probably be better to have a totally seperate window for it because there will be 50 people on it at anytime

maybe i'd be better with a separate frame? so you could browse the website while also being constantly in the chat... that would kinda ruin the aesthetics tho

id say we should make an IRC channel, but 90% of the people on this forum are to dumb or woul be to lazy to use it

Register at realchitownracing.com and check out the flashchat. There is only about 400 members on my forum and no ones uses flashchat.....only during racing season (summer).....I would suggest using flashchat....Its same as an IRC channel.....I was also an admin on the dal.net server for IRC.

Flashchat is not IRC. Its a java based chatroom for E90 members only. Its really simple to use. People would use flashchat on this forum. You just add a link at the top for people to click on and thats it. Real real easy to use.
