Got a Gintani flash, but not feeling it?

I went over to Gintani today to get a flash. Before that I had an SSTT. When I left the place, my car didn't seem to be any faster. Has this happened to someone else as well?

Do a few runs for adaptation? I got a flash and at first I couldnt really feel much diff but then I tested a 3rd gear run to big speeds and that let me know at the power...

BTW what HP is Gitani doing - maybe the same as a SSTT which is around +40rwhp yes?

def do some WOT runs. If you don't feel a difference then theres an issue that you need to talk to the tuner about.

Next obvious step is to get the car in a dyno so you know for sure.

I agree with Alan l. If you still feel lacking in power after WOT runs then go to a dyno ASAP!!

You have to figure out if the Gintani flash gives you more power than the SSTT.

It might also be smoother and therefore it throws you less back in your seat...

Among the e90post population, Gintani is not a big tuner... but they are really known on other boards / M3Post...

Who knows, maybe OP just likes Gintani

First of all, it is not a Gintani flash. They are reselling OETUNING product. Then, it is 70hp claimed and 80 tq. Perhaps you are confusing the tq and hp numbers?

After my Dinan S2 flash it was pretty obvious. Maybe the flash didn't take...it happens. Go back to the shop as have them take the car out for a test, if they agree, then get them to re-flash. Simple, no?

When I went from SSTT to Cobb it took at least a dozen WOT pulls and probably 100km before I could feel a significant different between the two. It took quite a while to adapt, maybe it's due to using the SSTT.

IMO, I would stay away from Gintani!

If you are not feeling it, it's not there.

Go for a ESS directflash. You have to drive the car for a few hundred miles before adaptations and you get full force.

Plug a BMS CT in to the OBDII port and it gives you an accurate in dash boost and timing gauge.

Somethings wrong - that flash made 80whp and 100tq on our dyno. SSTT should be blown away.
