Can JB3 be left in while reprogramming car at dealer?

Going in tomorrow for a hpfp recall and reprogramming. Can I leave JB3 installed on the car while getting reprogramming?

The JB3 won't cause any issues with the BMW hookup, but for those who leave it on most set it to map0 so the car drives stock.

If I set it to map 0, then turn off the car, then turn on the car again, wouldnt it start at map 3?

By the way, how do i set it to map 0?...

I tried to take it out but I could not get one of the clips on the ECU off. It was pissing me off. I was not trying to break it either.
