Exclamation Need Help With Diagnosis...

I recently installed a chargepipe, tial bov, and dci. I am otherwise stock. After I installed everything, I went for a test drive and everything seemed to be working. One thing I noticed was that the tial bov was extremely quiet. It could barely be heard unless I went WOT. Is this normal with no tune? I ran a greddy type s bov previously and that thing could be heard all the time, even during revs in neutral...

The second day, I drove about 20 miles to a restaurant and everything was fine. On the way home, I go WOT to see if I can hear the BOV. I immediately get a half engine light/service engine soon light on the dash and an engine malfunction on the iDrive. I pull over to a gas station and fill up because I am running low on gas. I check all connections in the engine bay and everything is fine. Nothing popped off and everything was on tight. I restart the engine and all lights are gone (not sure if the Service Engine Soon light was still on as my steering wheel was blocking it). I go WOT again, and boom same exact thing. I pull over a couple times, restart the engine, this time all lights stay on.

I finally uninstalled/reinstalled everything today, went for a test drive, and now I only have the service engine soon light. The system control messages on the iDrive says all systems are OK. The tial bov is still extremely quiet..Anyone have any idea of what is going on???? Would there be any codes stored that I can check? Thanks.

Cliff Notes:

1. Installed chargepipe/bov/dci
2. Day after install, I went WOT and got the engine malfunction/SES light
3. Filled up gas, checked engine and everything was ok, restarted engine, all lights gone (not sure if SES light ever went away).
4. Went WOT again, all lights returned and never went away with a restart.
5. Reinstalled everything a couple days later, now I just have SES light

Without knowing what codes you are tripping it's tough.

I can tell you that when I first got my PROcede I had misfires under WOT. I got a CEL, but no half-engine light. The dealer replaced the HPFP, 6 plugs, and finally 6 injectors to fix it. The car's been purring like a kitten ever since.

My advice is to find out what codes you have stored on the DME.

Is the CEL the same as the service engine soon light? The iDrive says I need the 15000 mile vehicle check up so I have no idea If the light is tied to that at all.

Yeah, I think thats what I meant, it lights up orange, not red.

Did your car start shaking and shuddering when the lights came on, or any other physical symptoms other than the lights?

clap is right its showing the symptoms check the connections on the charge pipe and make sure the BOV is closing under load.
was the car running smooth boost leaks usually dont cause rough running but a problem with your fuel or ignition system does

The car ran fine with the engine malfunction. No shaking.

I thought boost leak myself which is why I reinstalled everything. Why would the SES light still be on though??

If it comes back then the problem is still present.
Because you have to clear it or let it cycle away on its own which takes time.

Agree with the boost leak.
Either the BOV or lines going to the BOV is leaking.
Make sure everything is tight.

I reread this and I need to clarify. When I said the car ran fine with the engine malfunction, it did run at reduced power. But I did not feel any hesitation, shaking, or vibrations.

Now I believe it is running under normal power but I still have the SES light on the dash.

I will tighten everything down more when I get home tonight.

I did test the BOV last night and it stays closed at idle and when throttle is applied. It opens up when throttle is closed but there is no sound. Sound only comes out under load during WOT shifts...either that or I need hearing aids.
