2007 335i Jet Black e92 6AT - VRSF Full street exhaust DP, Chargepipe 7.5 FMIC, MHD, XHP, Koni orange/Eibachs, some other stuff
2007 335i Jet Black e90 6MT - Eibachs, magnaflow exhaust, carbon hood, short shift kit, some other random stuff - being sold somewhere sometime soon probably 2010 335i AW e90 6 AT Msport - The GF took this one over... After determining what COM port you are on, close JB software and disconect the USB cable. Plug in the usb cable to your computer BEFORE starting up the JB software. I noticed that when I start the software before plugging in the USB I get the same error

Thank you for the response. After trying a few different combinations of restarting etc, it finally worked out for me. Just had to figure out how to be smarter than the system.

I had to reboot the computer. Then had to tell vmware to connect the USB device I plugged in. You should only have to do this if you have a Mac running windows also. Then I changed the COM port to the one that the jb4 was using and it finally connected.
