My front driver side is running summers right now :/

I am not in a rush, I would prefer to do everything at once to "summerized" the car.

I'm gambling that if I wait until late April or early May to put my summer tires on, by the time my lease is up, I might have just enough tread left that I don't have to replace them. Either that, or I'll be just over the limit and end up having to buy brand new tires just before I return the car, in which case I can at least appreciate the irony.

No way I would have made it out of the driveway this morning without winter tires.

What's is the point of owning one then? I'm not trying to criticize but just want to find out what makes people buy expensive ordinary cars just to store them?

Personally, if I would have extra means for a toy, I'd go with something ridiculus like lotus elice.

However, I'm quite thankful to enthusiasts cause I my self bought a three year old 335i with like 30k on it at half price!

I'm thinking mid-April too.

Driving with winters on a bit longer = a bit more wear on my tires.
Driving with summers in a freak snowstorm = 300 hp sled.

some cars maybe lowered or modded in a way where it cannot be winter driven.... I store my G (www.youtube.com/wisht7n7) during the winter AND summer...I drive it about 4000K per year... and it's BECAUSE i spent a lot of money on it.. (could've bought a 335 easily with the money put into it) that i'm not driving it as often to keep it in mint condition...

and the 335 is still a sports luxury car.. regardless of how old it is when you buy it. soooooo some people may choose to drive something else for the winter and keep the beauty for summer driving.

I don't mean not to drive it completely in winter, just take it out for a spin whenever the weather is getting better.

Besides, I would rather to drive the X5 since I like driving the boat on the snow!
