understatement of the year. i worked at a call center for them for a while and literally almost every single call we would get was about coverage and we had to feed them a bs line to keep them happy or make it sound like something was being done about it. we were offered dirt cheap employee rate plans but almost nobody took it lol

First of all, even if the deal is finalized, T-Mobile customers probably won't notice any change for at least several months.
I've had T-Mobile forever and am 100% happy with it. I guess it depends on where you live. Most of my friends with iPhones and AT&T complain about reception and dropped call bs. I know of a single 2-mile radius dead zone somewhat near where I live, but can't remember a single dropped call. T-Mobile is also about $15/mo. cheaper than the analogous AT&T plan. Hopefully the low rates I'm used to will be available once a full transfer of plans/coverage does happen, and hopefully iPhones originally purchased for iPhone plans won't have to be unlocked for use with the cheaper plans. Otherwise, I'm going to be pissed. |

Is T-Mobile USA getting the iPhone?
T-Mobile USA remains an independent company. The acquisition is expected to be completed in approximately 12 months. We do not offer the iPhone. We offer cutting edge devices like the Samsung Galaxy S 4G and coming soon our new Sidekick 4G. http://blog.t-mobile.com/2011/03/20/...-t-mobile-usa/

this is great for att. not only do they swallow up millions of subs, but more importantly, they also swallow up frequencies. this will for sure solidate at&t as the 4G (lte, not the t-mo HSDPA+) king. i like it. 3g woes...who gives a fuck. this is a 4G power play.
