pretty sure your thinking about procede v5 with launch control. As far as I know thats the only launch control besides the one that comes stock with the 335is.

Good luck at the track!

The JB3 did have a 'launch control' feature, is was basically a % boost reducer that you could configure. Not sure if this feature survived in the JB4. Post on the other forums about it.

There's still boost reduction on the jb4, but it would be nicer if it was dynamic

If you find traction problems too severe in 1st and/or 2nd gear you can cap the maximum boost/torque achieved in those gears to aid with traction. You'll find them under user settings. A value of 10.0 in 1st and 12.0 in 2nd will limit boost to 10.0psi while in 1st gear and 12.0psi while in 2nd gear. When in 1st or 2nd gear under the boost limit you may hold down the steering wheel volume or talk button to bypass the limit while the button is held down. For example if doing a burn out at the track.

That's not launch control IMO.....that's just basically a reduction of boost in lower gears to get 'better' traction.

Launch control is when you're able to hold the rpm and build full boost before launching, not a reduction, no?

You'd probably be better off using your right foot as 'launch control' if you're running JB.

Thats why I put it in quotation.

If you are running an auto tranny, get a set of DRs and you wont have to worry. Brake boost to 2300 rpms and you can mash the gas off the line with DRs set at 20psi and properly warmed up. Shift at 6200 rpms for optimal performance down the track.

The JB4 has traction assist and a drag launch mode. The drag launch mode is for those running full slicks trying to leave the line under high boost values. I think they've only told a few people how to enable it pending more track testing. The traction assist on the other hand has been used by many and is easy to setup.

I'd like to know how to use this "drag launch mode"... I'm XI so I don't need slicks...

Ive played with the launch boost reduction using first gear at MAX 10psi and 2nd+ @ full boost.

It def helps as at 10psi i was getting very minimal wheelspin, so i tryed it at 11 and thats where it felt perfect.

IMHO, this is even better than launch control, reudcing boost.

I am able to brake boost and still luanhc my car hard, i might even leave first gear boost at stock levels and brake boost and launch as hard as i can out the hole with the stock first gear boost.

I usually don't like brake boosting. Get too carried away sometimes. I assume it'd be a lot less stressful on the car if there was actually a launch control rather than brake boosting..
