NorCal autoshop not knowing the parts??
Hi guys, i called a few shops for install quotes:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46360 Bavarian Motorsport (maintenance) -247 Houret Drive -Milpitas, CA 95035 -408.956.1662 TC Design (race prep, corner balance, alignments) -1747 Houret Court -Milpitas, CA 95035 -408.956.1526 They have no idea what parts are in the BMW performance suspension kit. I am just shocked.... Doesn't this seem weird?? They never installed that kit? never ever? If that's the case, I am not bring my car there. |

I think you are expecting too much. Maybe shops like LTBMW that deal mostly with E9x cars will know what you're talking about, but these shops work on a variety of cars from all makes, models, years, etc. You can't expect them to memorize the parts/accessory/performance catalog for your specific 2006 330i. Especially when you just call in and ask whoever picks up the phone.
Suspension is going to be suspension. There's nothing really unique or special about the BMW Perf kit that requires special knowledge or skill or anything. As long as they're a reputable shop and they've installed SOME type of suspension on your type of car before, then there should be no problem.
