Headlights and Traveling in Europe

Guys

Another question for you:

Soon after i take delivery i'm driving from UK to Holland. I've ordered adaptive lights on my new car and wanted to know how i get my lights altered to drive abroad. On my current car, I stick headlamp beam converter kits to the outer light casing. BUt figured if the new lights move, these are probably not the way to go!

Is it an software/electronic change? A visit (£) to my dealer?

Thoughts?

TIA Paulf

You're right - it should be a simple setting in the iDrive but unfortunately it isn't. It used to be with xenons (adaptive or not) that you had a mecahnical lever on the headlamp assembly to swap them over but this has now been deleted. So it's a dealer trip

Just leave them, and wave politely at others.

The adaptive lights usually have a setting where they don't move (they did on my X5 anyway).

You can then use the official stickers from BMW.

Its crap thought - they should have flat beam switches like they used to...

There should be a simple switch nowadays on all european cars that you press for UK / EUR ...... and it adjusts automatically, the amount people commute through UK/EUR these days
