8 WEEKS for delivery???!!

So a very trusted source told me that it'll be about 8 weeks for delivery of my e92 from Germany to the WEST COAST. Anyone experience this long wait time? Anyone get lucky and wait a shorter time?

Give me some HOPE people!

Yep buddy it takes atleast 45 days to prep ship inspect and deliver..oh how life sucks, count the days not the weeks

Think about how far it has to go! Not an easy trip from Europe to the west coast.

Just hope it doesn't get shot up in the Panama canal or get lost in Antarctica after a wrong turn off the horn of South America!

But, seriously folks, Europe to the west coast of the US is a pretty long trip by boat. 8wks wouldn't surprise me at all.

8-weeks is about right, but I'm confused did you do ED because your siggy said European Delivery.

Also it might be closer to 7-weeks if you're in S. CA, but that's probably the fastest that you'll see.

You are lucky, ordered mine a week ago and it is 12 weeks to the east coast. You can not find 335 coupes with a manual trans around here at all.

mine took about 8 weeks. it's usually about 7-8 for west coast delivery. the worst part is that EDs pass the VPC last

so even though your car will be at the port, you'll still have to wait a few more days than non EDs to see ur babe back to your dealer

Built in 2 days, packed and boarded ship in one day, and arriving tomorrow....This expedited delivery is on the BMWUSA website under the "In My Dreams" sub menu....*sigh*. Mine actually arrives second week of april...and I ordered mid February....what a wait it has been...and there's still 3 weeks left so I just

I got lucky and my dealer was able to locate my car that just arrived at the port today and happened to be dealer stock so he simply did a swap and secured it...said he'll have it in a few days. Total wait time from the moment I decided on the car to get was only 2 weeks...not 3 months! Fortunately for me I had no time since my Audi lease is over in 1 month and they won't extend it.

This sounds unreal! What? What the hell is expedited delivery? built in 2 days 6 days after you ordered it? Well how long was your shipping time? I have to wait longer since I did an ED, have to have the car trucked from Geneva to Bremerhaven and it's gotta come all the way to Cali while yours is right there in Canada.

Is this expedited feature because you're Canadian? damn canadians!! j/k half my family lives in Toronto so it's always an American Canadian war...so sorry I couldn't help myself.

If you look on the website, you'll see the 'expedited delivery' button right next to the air freight option Steve noted above. Probably less than the $6,000 air freight cost.

That is because it was one of the salvaged cars from this ship:

It went through the reclamation process at the BMW factory and since it was already a completed vehicle, it was given Priority 1A. Just a little spit and polish and it's as good as new. Good luck with your new ride!
