E90 to R56

lease is coming up on my E90 and i have looking around. Considering either keeping my car or going to a Mini Cooper S R56. Anyone have any experience with the R56 on this forum? I saw a few pics but not sure who they belong to...I will be going to test drive it this week but I want to see if anyone has had any long term experience (beyond a test drive) with the R56.

Drove a Cooper S couple of weeks ago as a loaner from BMW. Ride was very hard as if there were no shock/springs. Overall, not my cup of tea !

The S is definitely a lot stiffer than people expect the first time they drive one. Every time I've given someone a lift in ours they either hate how hard the ride is, or love how stiffly it's sprung.

I drive a Cooper S daily for work and the 335i for leisure.

I also sell them

, the Cooper S is super fuel efficient compared to the 335i. If you get the cooper S without sports package, the ride is the same as a normal cooper.

I've also owned a few MINI's before i started selling them. If you need any help on price, let me know!

Thanks, I would ask for some help on the price but you're in BC! Thanks for the help all, I will test it out this wkend and get a feel for it. Also considering waiting for the 2012 Mini Coupe which looks amazing

i've sold mini's all over Canada, far east as halifax, up north in yukon and whitehorse.

u can always pm me, if you want to see what the dealership offers you is fair or not. The 2012 coupe is amazing, I already got a client wanting to get his hands on it. So far all I know is that it will be a JCW model only as a flagship, but i might be wrong.
