DCT gearbox warning light
I started the car up yesterday to put it in the garage and a waring light came on saying something about an error with the transmission. It said to continue driving but to have it checked out at BMW. I re started the engine and nothing, even looking on the faults in the idrive it says 'no faults'. Any ideas? I don't see the point in booking it in to BMW with no error on the screen.

I'd run it and see if it flags up again, if so, then get it looked at.

are you noticing any slipping/missing gears under hard acceleration? Mine was have problems engaging 4-5 under hard acceleration. Mine went the same as your with a couple of warnings and then was knackered, am currently awaiting a new gear box.
I know mine is not DCT but i would STRONGLY advise getting your car in and any error codes read. The fault may clear from your idrive but that is not to say there isnt a deeper problem. My idrive faults and check control were clear but when the codes were read there were two faults |
