Lightbulb Vishnu Procede PWM Meth logs

Hellblazer's car. Dyno from last week. Street Datalogs from today. No glory logs. Just random logs I took for my own use. Updated with newest BMW DME software 2 weeks ago.

2007 335 6MT
49,000 miles
Procede v5 w/PWM Meth
DCI
91oct
70/30 methanol/water mix

This car makes over 400whp at 16.5psi. Consistently. With, quite literally, no recorded knock retard. The car is terrifically fast. No loud exhaust. No signs of obvious modification. Just another 125whp on tap. Ambient temps were pretty mild today. Looking forward to when it gets warmer. Same progressive meth mapping logic as we use for the older nonPWM kit (ie, boost/timing targets don't get aggressive until meth flow reaches its target.) None of the low/high boost switchover at boost onset can be seen. Meth reacts as fast as boost rises. And is trimmed back during throttle closures/DTC intervention. Or when the engine is still warming up. Even when jumping on the throttle at 4krpm (3rd datalog), boost never "outruns" meth flow. This means consistent knock resistance when transitions into and out of boost. Still playing around with the Meth DC% tables. I know many people think their PPS meth systems feel seamless. But they need to drive this

Lol... I just hit the purchase button on the Meth kit before seeing this. I'll post more logs too once I get mine.

Shift spike from throttle closure. Normal in all logs/tunes.

Never messed with meth before, screw the FMIC! Those temps are out of control.....dropped 10 deg c in 2 seconds.....21 deg C, thats colder than my A/C! Can't wait.....looks rock solid!

What is the "Debug Bite Meth" data channel log?

Debug byte 5/Meth DC% is the PWM duty cycle of the meth injector. And yep, you don't need ANY bolt-on mods when running a good meth system.

This looks really great, i like most the seamless power without the obvious switch from map 1 to map 2 i am experiencing now. the change from 15.5 psi to 18,5 psi is quite brutal and cannot be used on a track. You also cannot predict when the change will happen since it depends on the flow.
Hopefully i can adapt this to my kit somehow.

Yes, it's utterly seamless during off/on meth transitions. And fuel trims are a hell of a lot more stable/consistent with meth metered as a function of engine load. Easy to retrofit PWM control to your current hardware. I'll be putting together an abbreviated retrofit kit soon. You still keep your pump/bottle where it is. But you will mount the Aquamist nozzle, new flow sensor and new nozzles. As well as a harness update. 1 hr max.

Thought you were going to post logs @ low psi? Showing the benefits of "misting" under normal driving conditions. Not WOT.

Shiv
Are you saying that downpipes and inter cooler are not necessary in terms of power gains or reliability or in what sense?

If you're boosting 16.5psi on the stock turbos without resistance removal (DPs, specifically), won't that wear like hell on the turbos?

Can you do some logs/dynos on a IC/DP car?

Why is methanol injection flow between 33 and 35? I have the labonte kit from Vishnu and my meth flow is around 13-14. What's the difference between the Labonte kit and the PWM? Is it essential to upgrade to PWM in order to get more power at high rpm?

Today I'm going to do an PWM meth install on a track-ready FBO car. I should have more logs ready to go by tomorrow. Then another stock car goes under the knife after that. And logs again. Then PPS->PWM retrofits on two FBO cars after that. So plenty more customer car logs to come in the next week.

Running more boost will always stress the turbos more. But running full advance will drop EGTs considerably. Which makes life easier for the turbos in that respect.
