I'm happy to see it back after being MIA since the 2009 W211 model year. I personally think the W212 exterior design looks better on the wagon than the sedan.
But it's too bad the performance option doesn't include the sport suspension on the wagon, and only in the sedan. Ultimate sleeper |

I agree the E sedan rear end looks a bit Hyundai-ish. The wagon and especially the coupe are nice looking.
Would be nice to get any 5-series wagon in the US. I really dont like the GT but the F11 looks better than the F10 IMO. |

"How fast in the AMG Wagon? Fast enough to fling the ice cream out of a well-packed cone. Fast enough to make you hit the recirculating air button to keep the smell of burning rubber from curling your nostrils. Fast enough to turn your securely fastened two-year-old into a Teletubby (Again! Again!). Fast enough to lure you out of your office for a quick spin to… anywhere. That's right: pistonhead catnip now comes in station wagon form. Go figure. .....you can banish miniature miscreants to rear-facing, back-of-the-bus seats. And it's nice to know that the AMG Wagon is less likely to tip over than an Irishman after his first whiskey." (from TTAC) |

there are actually 2 E AMG wagons in my home town in FL. One guy had his painted yellow from the factory and powdercoated his wheels black. Looks so mean.

Do you have any pics? I'd like to see it. MB/AMG has no paint to sample program like Porsche does, but they do have a Designo program. However, afaik, yellow has never been a paint option. AMG does have now have the AMG Production Studio in Affalterbach but not for the US bound cars. So the car is an extreme rarity if it's factory painted. Please try to get a pic, thanks.
