heavy vignetting like that is not usually desired.. you should have probably keep the lens shade off.. not sure why the rocks in front look so wierd like that but it's possible that the lens just has bad looking bokeh or somehow some parameter in post processing was boosted too much?
what's your setup? camera/lens? |

lens was an 18-70mm. Shot at 18mm with a Minolta 3xi 35mm camera shot on 400 Fujifilm. Im thinking the grain reduction messed with the gravel in the foreground.

i kinda like the way it looks, it sort of focuses your eye to the image more. Without the shade, there would be two Iron bars on either side of the frame which i think would be unpleasing.
