Tires

Does anyone know what size of tires/rims that I would need to go with if I don not want to lower my 2011 328i allwheel drive. I have 19' staggered rims already and was thinking 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 tires. Do any of you guys know if there is a better combo or is that the best way to go.

Thanks

careful of your rolling diameter.. you cant exceed 1% difference with xi models or you will tear up your transfer case and no, its not covered by bmw when you do.

I thought that was addressed in any XI from 2009 +....... regarding the transfer case.....I do know that Endras sells staggered packages for the 3 series. Should I spin by and check out their tire sizes offered?

Thanks man, I'll spin by and see what they offer at BMW.

Anyone with my drivetrain that has a staggered set up that works? Shoot some info my way.

Here we go again!!
The famous debate of staggered versus non-staggered for xi E90.
I has a thread posted a while ago and many members thought staggered is not an issue for xi and many have this setup for a long time with no transfer case problems.

I don't know which opinion is right..

I just asked the question in another thread under this "canada" section to a BMW sales adviser, I think it's "the fastestone" or something like that.

What size tires? My car came from factory with staggered.

225/45/17
255/40/17

Your buddy must be off on the rolling diameter and its confusing the AWD system

Go to Xdrive discussion section and check for the info. TONs.

I personally run 235 front 275 back on xi, no problem so far.

thanks guys for all the info. I also called Endras BMW and they stated that for the Xi they do supply staggered setups 225/255. So in my mind 235/265 will have the exact same difference in rolling diameter as the one they sell... Staggered it is then thanks.....

I'm running 19x8.5 245/35/19 front and 19x10 275/30/19 rears. Ideally you should be running 235/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rears to stay within the 1% rolling diameter.

Xi's not being able to run staggered setup is a myth.
