I need some help - Mufflers
Okay, I've tried to do some searching, both on this board and other forums.. I can't seem to find much as far as my current set up goes.
I have Catless downpipes, secondary cat delete, resonator delete and muffler delete. It is just to F*** loud... I can't afford to get expensive mufflers and resonators. I can only get a pair of mufflers this week. I was originally looking at the Magnaflow race mufflers but since its a straight through design I think it will still be to loud. * please correct me if I'm wrong * I want a Muffler that still allows for more free flow over stock but it has to quiet my car at least by 1/3rd as well as produce a deeper tone. What mufflers would you guys suggest? they must have 2.5" inlet and 2.5" outlit. I don't want to spend more then I have to, and I don't want to get F**** over by getting the wrong muffler as I'll be out of money Thanks guys. PS I would throw my stock mufflers back on but the shop threw them out.. At least I imagine they are gone, I'll phone back on monday. |

They have balls to throw out yOur exhaust. My bet they either sold it for mad money or sold it as scrap metal as the cats are worth a pretty penny. Damn this shop gave it to you up the a-hole when you were there and also after you left they still made money on you by your parts that they so happen to throw out! Wow. Damn please don't post anymore cuz it hurts to hear what else they are doing to you

Vibrant resonators doesnt cost too much. 12 inch resonators 2.5 #1792 cost here in the states 95 dollars for a pair. They will eliminate the rasp. What I suggest is getting some magnaflow mufflers and then also welding in these resonators, your neighbors and you will be happy!

You paid over 1k for your straight pipes and now you want to put back mufflers...
Ok please do yourself a favor and NEVER use that same mecanic who has made a fortune off of you. Seriously just call him and scream at him that you want your stock exhaust back and that he had nor right ro throw it out! btw he for sure sold it, idk if your aware of this but the full 335i exhaust including the cats costs 4k from the dealer... Buy some magnaflow mufflers and have an exhaust shop put them in...no more than 150 for install |

I have magnaflow mufflers on mine and very happy with the deep tone it produces. It is very similar to stock but just gives it more bass during start up and driving. At idle it is not loud at all. I want to either delete my secondary cats or put dp on my car. I think my car is still too quiet. I was going to go the muffler delete route which i think is perfect for sound but I think it is too civic like.

I don't know who Hellen keller is.
I'll find out tomorrow if they still have my stock mufflers, otherwise I'll pick up a pair of Magnaflow performance mufflers. * Not the race mufflers as I feel they will be to loud * - How much can I sell my cats for at a junk yard? I never got my secondary cats back, or my stock cat's and down pipes.. |

Honestly i feel bad ur having such a bad experience with ur car modding and on the forums..but dont expect these guys to show mercy compasion or symapathy here..thats not gonna happen. U honestly need to reevaluate all your modding and please STOP creating threads and spending ur money ...sleep on ur mods n what you wanna do for a few weeks..dont make anymore rash decisions.. at this point it would be cheaper for you to find a shop here in the states drive ur car there and get everything u want done..one shot at a decent package price.. |
