Need a phone any suggestions?
My beloved Droid 1G fell down the stairs the other day and the screen is completley destroyed. So now I am looking for a new phone. But I can't decide...so many phones out. I want one that will last me a good amount of time and not feel "old".
Is the Samsung Galaxy any good? Should I try the iPhone 4? I might go big and spend more $$ on the HTC Thunderbolt? With 4G out and dual core phone processors the phone market is overwhelming. |

iPhone 4 owner here. Completely crappy and buggy OS. Called 911 the other day and it literally froze. Had to do a hard reset... if I didn't know how to do that or if I was in real danger, Apple could've caused my death. Don't get me started on AT&T reception and pricing.

Iphone sucks. I will get flamed but between my droid (HTC Inspire) and bberry (9700) I reach for the bb. YMMV.

its all figurative and depends on your wants/needs. I live in a city where my ATT signal has been flawless and my 3g speeds are super fast. Never had any problems whatsoever. However, other parts of the countries are opposite, never get signal, etc.
If I was you, I would go for the evo 3d or iphone 5 if u could wait xD

agreed with wait for the new set of phones (evo 3d, or other dual cores).
I'm not impressed with my galaxy, so I say no to that. iphone I've heard enough crappy stories with so no to that. Pretty much now just wait for one of the dual cores |

Take a look at any of the SGS family of phones. The display is incredibly vibrant (no pun intended). Dual core is still more of a novelty for most phone users, but that is probably going to change pretty quickly. LTE is also on another planet pretty much, but your choices there are somewhat limited and you may have to micromanage settings in order to get good battery life (depending on what you consider "good").
Take a look at any complaints and bugs people are reporting with any Android phone you're considering over at the xda developers forums. |

There were a lot of things I hated about my Captivate but the screen was f'ing incredible. Unfortunately, the biggest strike against it was Samsung itself. Pretty hard to bypass that.

Samsung Galaxy S II owner here and very happy with it, nice bright display and quite fast in apps and games. Battery holds around 2days with wifi lock on, many time at game ( Drag Racing FTW ) + bluetooth on for handsfree in car.
On wifi and GPS lock on in car ( IGO rulz ) it lives for about 5-6 hours and then i must plug the charger. Consider JSamsung Galaxy S II or LG Optimus or HTC Sensation if you like android My wife Have IP4 and also happy with it. |

finally dumping my ipoop 3G (about 3 years old!) and getting an HTC Sensation, just ordered it.
I'm done with Apple, they're just nuts. I'll spare you my issues with Apple. The Sensation has lots of goodies that not everyone needs. But I really do push my phone pretty hard. |
