I was in the 10th precinct yesterday when they were capturing him. The police working the radio were saying things like, "He probably raped him first." Needless to say I was disgusted. Cops are so desensitized to this shit.

Why do people from New York always say "blah precinct" ? Never heard anyone other than a NYer specifying which precinct they were at, it's simply a "police station" everywhere else. Explain yoself Vince

In NYC the precincts denote what area of the city they cover. Sort of like different city depts in LA or any large "city" that spans over several jurisdictions. Even though all the precincts are still the NYC Police, they have their own little area they are responsible for. So I guess NYer's associate them that way.

Because if I just said, "I was in the police station when they caught the guy." It would sound like I was there when they brought him in. But there are like 35,000 cops in the 5 boroughs and 76 precincts.
