LOL...he is actually helping.
There were several people in the other 335 vs. SRT-4 post that were claiming that a stage 2 SRT-4 made huge power and would outrun a stock 335 from a roll and probably keep up with a PROcede equipped 335. I appreciate your input Stage 2 Drew! If your dyno results are typical for a stage 2 SRT-4, then the 335 should have a fairly easy time of that. Although, I still maintain that the SRT-4 is a bargain if you are looking to mod a car. Thanks!

Its always good to know what other cars are pushing. Some people just dont need to know. So if its not something you care about just shut up and stop posting your emotional feelings.

The Little SRT-4s are pretty entertaining though, Kinda like The STis, EVOs, and The MazdaSpeed 3.
Over Powered little pop cans are a blast to drive. Always hovering on that edge of control and if you blow something up? No Worries. I had a Mazdaspeed 3 for a day as a loaner when I had my RX-8 and it was a lot of fun. No I don't want one but they are a hoot.

But why is it put in the e90post forum, "general forced induction and 335i engine talk", "General car talk" would be cool, and an introduction of the member, who he is, what he drives (I am guessing a srt-4), and how he found out about our forum, I saw his first post against his neighbors 335. And I just hope he is here to be "nice", and not trash bmw's, and do pointless anti-bmw threads. Thats all...I meant no DIS-, just wondering! |

for those that care....Shiv tuned my WRX a few years ago (to the tune of 225/225) and my next door neighbor just bought a 335 (yes, we've raced and I won ) hence the reason of this post, just sharing some info. Im not your ave sh*t talking SRT4 guy that thinks he is faster than everything on Gods green earth. |

Hmmm.... i'm not sure why this is posted here , but being a car enthusiast at heart I have respect for what the car is. I hate FWD, but at least its turbo'd.

You raced a 225whp/225wtq WRX against a 335 and won? Was he in reverse?

As a previous owner of the little 4 Banger I can appreciate what the little monsters can do. Tomorrow I am going to the drag strip with at least one SRT-4 that has 400 WHP, and possibly a second one, going to see what the 335i can put down.

Pretty good power output. Those SRT4s weigh next to nothing so no need to put down massive amounts of power to still go fast.

Yeah, if memory serves I think my stage 1 with downpipe ran around 8.8 on drag radials. Anyway my point was SRT4s are pretty pathetic at the track, although very fun and affordable cars for guys in their late teens/early 20s.

Stage 2 Drew welcome to the forums. Those srt 4's are good cars for the money you spend on them.
Your car would be an awsome race for a stock 335i. Let me know if your interested we can all caravan to the track toghther.
