bms dp fix

stupid question but this piece is basically useless with stock dp's?

Yes..u only need this if you are using catless DPs

also this would be useless to me as i am using procede v5. with canclear on it deletes code anyway right?

Yes and No. Let me explain: I am using this with the V5. You don't need it if you don't have smog testing where you are. Just turn CANclear on and you are good to go. If you have to smog test your car often though, this beats putting back the stock DPs any day all day. Without this, your car will not achieve testing readiness with CANclear on. You have to turn off CANclear drive around 25 miles varying speeds etc, but as you know even with Catted aftermarket DPs you are going to throw codes and eventually CEL with the newer BMW DME software which is very sensitive and probably a BMW anti-tuning feature. So again it depends. I am talking from expirience here. The o2 simulator value in the V5 just doesn't work anymore. Used to work when I had the old DME software, but now only the BMS DP fix worked as an alternative to throwing my stock DPs back on. And yes I did pass inspection since I do have stock secondary catts and I do have AR 3' Catted DPs. Hope that helps?
