Vangaurd is a great looking exhaust for cheap. It is a catback and will give you a few in power.
on the other hand, the Remus exhaust, as amazing as it sounds, is still just a muffler setup. |

how much power does an aftermarket exhaust liek Vanguard actually provide?
Are the power gains due to being lighter than the stock OEM exhaust? or is the appeal just sound?

you would be better off going with tune and other bolt ons such as DPs but with the catbacks, they will definetely give you a couple more horsepower with in higher boost situations where you need less restriction. |

So...
If I'm looking for more power I should go with vanguard ?
But with Remus I don't get any kind of power gain ? Do u know any other exhaust around the same price that is better then vanguard and Remus ?

The power gains are minimal on any cat back exhaust.... they are only needed when upping to high boost and most importantly upgraded turbo's.
What are your other mods? This car has the least gains with cat back exhaust, you are better off getting a tune, DP and FMIC for power. If you just want sound that's what these cat back exhausts are for. As someone already mentioned, the Vanguad is a full catback. The remus is just the rear section mufflers. So for MARGINAL performance advantage if any the vanguard wins. For sound its personal preference. |
