HELP! 335is JB4 hpfp
I've got a 2011 335is I've had the jb4 (map1), eas dci, and aa bov on for about 5 days now, and earlier today I threw the hpfp code. I;m not really sure what the next step is, but I was planning on clearing all codes, putting everything back to stock and brining it in. I was curious if there was anything specific I needed to say when I bring it in for service. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Go back to stock and wait for the Check engine light. Thats all you need to say when you bring it in. Less is more.
My HPFP went at about 1000 miles LOL |

the car is literally brand new, just past 2000 miles. I read about all failures/replacements on the older models but I didn't think it would happen on a brand new car. Oh well looks like its back to stock. Thanks for your help guys!

If you haven't cleared the code(s) yet, be sure to leave the HPFP code, then put it back to stock....

Originally I cleared it, turned the car off, turned it back on, drove the car around the block then it came back on.

this is a bit troubling.
i know the statistics vary and the forum isn't a proportionate sample size of the 335is/335i/n54 engines as a whole etc. but i've gone 8000 miles so far, no problems yet, but i can say that i dont drive it "aggressively" im interested in both of your driving styles? have you guys been WOT at least once/few times a day/each time you drive? how early did you guys put on mods and what mods exactly? My 335is was prob manufactured before yours but i thought our 335is' came with the newest hpfp, which somewhat helped the issue or at least reduce the occurence? non 335is members, i know the issue has been beat to death so im only interested in hearing from 335is owners, i know its the same n54 engine with possibly the same pump, but i just want to see how much of the hpfp issues are user-incurred/exacerbated vs pure mechanical luck of the draw failures thanks |

OK here was the verdict, There was nothing actually wrong with the hpfp, somehow one of the fittings came loose on it and thats why it tripped the code. (according to my tech) Car is good now, thanks everyone for your help/input

Glad they figured out the problem. What are your impressions of the mods you've done so far? I've had mine for 3 months now and considering pulling the trigger on the JB4. Any feedback would be great.

pull the trigger! I drove the car on map 0 the other day and the difference from having it to not having it, is night and day. Now that I finally put my dp's on, it's even more of a blast to drive. Hope this helps out!
