Paymate.com
Does anyone here have any experience with paymate.com? I want to buy something on ebay but the seller only accepts paymate. I was wondering if it's legit/safe. Thanks!

Paymate question
Hi. Yes, Paymate is a solid business. Authorized payment provider on eBay in the US and Australia. Only Paypal and Paymate can say that. Been around 10 years and carries a financial services license just like a bank. Website is www.paymate.com. Hope this helps.

So let's say I used "buy it now" but don't want to go through with it because I am unsure about Paymate, what happens next? How can I back off from the auction?

If it did, you're still able to just ignore it, and don't worry about it. Either way there are no consequences. Do NOT do paymate, especially since a shill hit this site as soon as you posted this |

Besides paypal there is Chase quickpay if you have an account with them.
Paymate looks kinda shady.

https://www.paymate.com/PayMate/Expr...nt?popup=false The actual payment page is secure, though. And before you say anything about the login form on the home page - it posts to a secure script. Not saying it's 100% safe, but attempting to say they don't use SSL is a bad choice of attack. I would be worried about whether or not they store your info or provide the ability to dispute transactions.
